Narrator : You all trudge along, with heavy feet and tired minds, towards A's house. She seems to live in a house thats much more closed off than the others. Fully cemented, boxy in nature, with hardly any win dows and a low cieling. She seems relieved to be back home, and you all follow her through the door in a single file. suddenly you hear loud screech from inside!

Narrator: A's uncontrollable wails pull you to the room they are coming from, and what you see inside shocks you. A is kneeling down beside a body that has to be none other than Mr. X, from the descriptions A had given you about him. His body, pale cold and limp, showed signs of distress. He had been bludgeoned across the head, and blood was everywhere. You wait a while to allow A to grieve, and what happens next is unexpected. A turns around, anger etched in her eyes.

A: We need to find out who did this. Why I was sent away. Mr. X did not deserve this. nor did I. He was a good man. We lived nothing but a quiet life. There has to be some clue, some evidence. This is not right.

Narrator: A dashes to her desk, snugly fit on the corner of the room, and starts rummaging. You join her, searching the cupboards, the couches, and the fridge. When suddenly A stands still. You all look at her, and she slowly turns around, her hand trembling, clutching a note. It is addressed to "if something were to ever happen to me.". You open it to see a paper with just 7 words on it. "Find the book in the abandoned factory."

• Help students understand that discrimination and stereotypes are prevalent all around us
• To help students understand the dangers of these stereotypes and the dangers of these single stories

Class Objectives

• Activity: Show popular mainstream Indian movies that contain a lot of stereotyping, be it based on where you're from, skin color, accents, and other widely believed misconceptions about different groups of people, and discuss these movies in detail. Where are these stereotypes coming from? How does it negatively impact the image of the said community? How can things be better if this stereotyping isn't shown?
• Video: Dangers of a single story
